What is Arterial Duplex of Extremities?

Arterial duplex of extremities is the use of ultrasound (sound waves) to provide an interior view of the arteries in a patient's arms or legs to identify any narrowing or blockages. This non-invasive test takes approximately 60 minutes. Both lower and upper extremities may be checked. For some procedures, a blood pressure cuff is used in addition to ultrasound.
